About Us

The International Associated Laboratory MARINE BIOGEOCHEMISTRY AND FUNCTIONAL ECOLOGY (LIA MORFUN) was created in January 2011 to study the versatility and response of marine communities to environmental change.

By combining the complementary expertise of more than 30 researchers in France and Chile, MORFUN seeks to expand the research spectra and actors of past and ongoing collaborations linking Universidad de Concepción (UdeC, Concepcion), Universidad Austral (UACH, Valdivia) in Chile and the Observatoire Océanologique de Banyuls sur Mer (OOB, Université Pierre et Marie Curie/CNRS) in France.
